| Café Saffron commenced trading in June 2001. We started as three ambitious young men who had worked in various Indian restaurants in Shrewsbury. We carried out most of the fitting out work ourselves as we were on a tight budget. It took three months of 18 hour days! We opened a unique and the most stylish Indian restaurant in town. Abdul and Azad were already well known waiters and word quickly spread and we became very busy very quickly. We needed more space as our master chef Amin, who had worked in some of the best hotels in Bengal, was hot and serving up some splendid meals. We were awarded **** by the Shropshire Star. Thanks to your support Café Saffron has now been extended and is the most authentic and modern Indian restaurant in Shrewsbury. Now refurbished with seating up to 70. Open 7 days a week and bank holidays 6pm - 12am Sunday - Thursday, 6pm - 12.30am Friday & Saturday. |
