| Wellington Market Company Plc has been operating markets for approximately 150 years and Wellington Market can trace its history back to 1244 when it was established by Royal Charter. Town and Country Markets Ltd, a 100% owned subsidiary was acquired in 1996 and put under new management. It has specialised in the operation and development of open air and covered markets for over 25 years. Each week, we operate markets with approximately 6,000 stalls, throughout England and Wales, some freehold, some leasehold and many in partnership with local authorities. |
