| Doorstep Green has undertaken a huge project to turn a 7˝ acre ex landfill site into an environmental area for community use and will be named 'Phoenix Park'. Work is well underway to provide play areas, walks, allotments, a skate board facility, a wildflower meadow, a campsite for Cubs and Scouts. When complete, it will provide a fantastic green space in Wigton town centre, for the public to enjoy.
